I need some help

My rather incompetent step-"dad" recently flipped the circuit breaker for my computer room. Well at first the computer wouldn't start up, but I fixed that. The problem now lies in my monitor. It was once (10 mins ago actually) a wonderful monitor with no ghosting. Now there is ghosting galore. Basically I want to know if he f*cked my monitor up.

Edit: The colors are also messed up. My desktop was very nice, but now it looks like I'm running 8 bit colors (although my video card comes up with 32 bit color when I ask it.

No this is an LCD which never ghosted before.

Do you have any other displays so you can positively rule out the video card being the problem? If it's the display then well, something is fried (probably from a surge), do you have a warranty still?

I have other displays but they don't use dvi so I can't do an apples to apples comparison. I do have a warranty, but I'm not sure they'll take the monitor back because I've noticed ghosting.

Computer, lcd monitor, 19" crt monitor, laser printer, inkjet printer all on one surge protector. In the room: 19" tv, overhead light, 2 lamps, 2 video game systems, and heater/light for aquarium.
