I currently have a p4 2.4c stock with 2x 256mb ddr400 pc3200 kingston hyperX on a P4P800 and I was wondering if it would be worth to get 2 more of those sticks to have a gig running in dual channel since my mobo supports it.

Now, would it be better if I sold mine and then bought 2 sticks of 512mb pc4000 ddr500 ram? Would I experience a huge difference, or should I just get 2 more 256 ddr400 ram?

I am not much of an OCer, but as far as I know my cpu can handle 3.6ghz (watercooled, not its on air, and it can go up to like 3.2 with no problems). If I get ddr500, I'd have to up the fsb to 250? That'd leave me running at 3ghz right?

It the upgrade worth it?

As far as the RAM goes, I would get 2x512 rather than 4x256. DDR500 would be faster, but not be able to run the tight timings that DDR400 can run, so that is the main issue with the RAM speeds. Some people say just get the faster RAM while others prefer the ability to have tight timings. Just research it and make your own decision from there, seems like its almost personal preference.
