I have like 6 USB devices sitting on my desk but some of them do not like being plugged into a USB hub so I am continually switching them out of the back of my computer. Is there a solution to expanding the number of USB ports I have that will accept things like USB mice, digicams, and MP3 players that don't like hubs?

I need more USB ports

there are usb PCI cards that add more usb ports to your system, or you can use the headers on your motherboard unless you dont have any or already using them.
most devices that i have tried work fine with usb hubs, but i guess everyones experiences vary

What kind of mice don't like hubs? Hell, I have my mouse plugged into my keyboard, which is plugged into a hub. I know some devices are just finkicky, but if none of your devices work with a hub then perhaps something else is wrong.
You really have two options: A USB PCI card, or a powered USB hub. Those devices that can't run off hubs generally require a fair bit of power, so getting a hub that can provide plenty of juice for those things is a good option. Also, if you have any connectors on your motherboard for USB headers or front USB, your best bet would be to have them connected up to give you more USB ports. I second that - those PCI usb controllers run pretty cheap..
