Specs:
A64 3200+ 90nm @ 2.475ghz (8x), 3xHT, 1.54v
OCZ PC3200 Dual Channel Platinum Rev. 2 @ 270, 1T-2.5-3-5-3, 2.75v
MSI Neo2 Platinum bios 1.3
Thermalright XP-90 + Panaflow 92mm
Antec TruePower 430w

When I run at 2.52ghz @ 280 Prime95 is instable. I can relax the mem timings and get 2.4ghz @ 300mhz so the RAM is not a problem.

I'm pretty happy with my setup but I just got this new cooler and was hoping for more out of the CPU. My MB maxes out at 1.4v + 10% (1.54v) and I can run 2.4ghz @ 270 at stock voltage (1.4v). Any tricks to get my CPU to behave?

You're already near the end of what the Athlon 64 is capable of, I wouldn't worry about it.
A lot of time it's just luck of the draw

I have the same MOBO and the same CPU. I use BIOS 1.51, and the core voltage can go up to a little over 1.6V. With that, I have my system stable at 270 with a 10x multi. I have it to 275 for some benching. The Corsair RAM I have is stuck around 242 FSB at 1T, so I have to run it 2.5-3-3-7 2T. I am getting new DDR to alleviate this. I tested it with PQI 2-2-2-5 at 270 1:1 with 2.5-3-3-6 and no problems. I ordered a set of this RAM, but it has not arrived yet.

So, three items:

1) more core voltage - use VID 1.55 at start and do the 10% over VID
2) loosen the timing from 2.5-3-3-5 to 2.5-3-3-6
3) Use the 2.85 V option - the Rev 2 OCZ is fine up to 3.6V, anyway.

bios v1.51 ? i thought 1.41 was the highest version of bios out...

with bios 1.3b6 the %'s with the vcore work up to 18.3% so you can get a vcore at 1.76v which helps in overclocking

No matter what VID I use it shows up as 1.4v in CPU-Z (unless I do the % overvolt option). Will the new BIOS fix this problem?

Also, the Rev.2 is rated up to 2.9v without voiding warrantee.
