Well three years ago I built a really strong pc, but now it is outdated. I need to make it last a little while longer. If I oc and it dies oh-well so I am not worried about that. I would like to wait until I can build a new good system next Jan/Feb instead of upgrades now.
My build:
Cooling:
First I have the Deep Impact with dual fan heatsink works good.
5.25" bay cooler
HD cooler
4" fan on the side of the case, rarely used.
4" puller fan in the rear of the case.
Hardware:
512 MB of PC3200 ram with heat sink
Radeon 9700 Pro with 128mb of ram, factory cooling
Barton 2800mhz processor
SB Audigy
I want to try to OC the graphics card, my MB's software will permit this. How do you test stability of a g cards oc? What would be a good starting point? It is currently runs 67 even though it is set at 66.
I have one some of the software to test processor stability with an OC, but I have never been brave enough to step up voltage. I don't see a need to OC the ram, does anybody think it would help?
I know it is old but I need to get a few more months out of it.
