HD media is huge, I've used almost all my space. I've got a 200GB SCSI array which is going out the door due to frequent failures, and a 320GB Seagate 7200.10. What do you guys suggest for some cheap, high-density storage? Cheap being less than $100.

Find the biggest hard drive you can for under $100? I don't understand the question, really.

Also not really sure what you're looking for, but the cheapest per GB right now is going to be the 320 gig drives. Take as many as you need and stuff them in a system...
Not sure what else you're looking for?

7200.10 or Hitachi or WD, take your pick. Whatever drive fits the budget. Buy from ZZF for good shipping, and may the force be with you.

the 200G 7200rpm sata drives have been hanging around $49 at fry's.

I think 400's are around $99 on sale and I think I saw 500's at fry's for $110 or so...

soon as 500's regularly hit $99'ish i'm buying a bunch :)

400 GB retail Seagate drives over at Fry's with free shipping. They're labeled as 7200.9, but if you're a little lucky, you'll probably receive a 7200.10 in the box. For storage though, getting a 7200.9 would still be pretty good anyway...

Other than that, there are some other drives in the 400 - 500 GB range floating around $100 - 110.

I picked up one of the 400 GB Seagates, and now I'm waiting for cheaper 500 and 750s to buy some additional drives for backing up stuff.

I just bought the 500GB Maxtor w/5 year warr at Fry's for $116 shipped (I had to pay tax).
