Im doing a WC setup to try to get another 500mhz out of my OC. for CPU block I decided on the Heatkiller 3.0 and I know I will do the NB and GPU, but not sure if I need to do Mosfets and SB. I currently have Enzotech copper heatsinks on both the mosfets and SB and they feel cool to the touch even holding them for a minute. I also notice in the WC gallery sticky, that most people dont WC these parts. is it that they dont need it with good enough airflow? should I focus on just CPU and NB for my 4.5ghz oc?

There are several reasons people don't WC the mosfets or SB, one of then is mainly COST.

The mosfet blocks, sb blocks and fittings alone will run you almost $200 for little benefit. I say do it if you have deep pockets because it looks good on a system that is fully WCed.

Another reason is the extra restriction that brings to the loop which may require the use of another pump if you already have a CPU/GPU loop you'd be conteplating in separating CPU/Board and GPU. That brings back to 1, COST factor.

Another reason is the space constraint and the tube bending i mean it does take quite time and planning to get it done right such as getting the right angled or rotary fittings then you may have to use or change tubbing with thicker walls for tigher radios that will bring back again to COST as you may have to buy new fittings if you use compression.

And if you insist in getting it done after all the difficulties and planning you sure will end up with a cool looking system if u wc all the components. :D

And to answer your question NO cooling the NB won't net you 500mhz more.

Lollerskates thanks for that link. it looks like I will be buying that block. and Fafeifa. I'm not doing this for Aesthetics at all. If I dont need them to reach my goal then great but if its recommended then I will bite the bullet and just buy them.

NP man. the Enzotech is a great block for the price as you can see. If you don't have the money I wouldn't even bother with the NB unless the stock cooling was really flakey.

For $35 the enoztech will work just fine, the difference I saved can buy better fans or other cooling parts.

I would say $35 is a pretty good price for that block, you should be fine as long as you don't use compression fittings.
