Need a template for a sculpture website. My dad wants to sell alot of his sculptures and he wants me to build him a website. Since I don't have alot of experience, I can't make him a professional website.

I'm willing to pay, but not a substantial amount. Maybe enough to buy you a nice dinner and a movie? ^_^

He asked YOU, so you shouldn't outsource. HTML isn't hard, and you'd be in better shape if you learn CSS at the same time.

Of course, you'll need to learn about forms, form handling/processing, and possibly even secure payment transactions.

For a layout, check out http://www.glish.com/css.

You can Google for pre-made scripts in all languages. Start with http://hotscripts.com.

Also check out http://www.tizag.com and http://www.phpfreaks.com.

I don't think you thought this through. You don't seem to need just a template, unless you plan to have customers fill out an order form and have the order emailed to you or your dad. What about payment?

Also, I don't think this is the right forum.

It's like an "interest" website. There will probably be no ordering. I really thought this through though. I'd love to learn about those, but I don't have time to self-teach myself. I'd rather pay someone to make a nice layout for me. Thanks for your input though.

Also, I tried googling up some, but those templates aren't free, and run in the hundreds!! I ain't paying that much!!!

Are there any graphics guru here that wants to help a needing fellow [H] out? I'll buy you and your girlfriend a nice dinner and a movie!!

There are lots of free templates out there. Some are better than others.

Or just ask your dad to tell you a few sites he likes, even if they're unrelated to sculpture. I'm not saying to copy them, but just to get some ideas.

It's pretty simple to lay out your own template to use throughout a site... a logo for the top, navigation on the left side... don't try to get too fancy, just stick to accepted conventions and you'll be fine. :)

If he'd just rather pay, then let him pay. He has no intention of deviating from the norm of not knowing code to making a halfass website he wouldnt proud of if he persued coding. Expecially for actual family practitioning use. People are going to know that it's a first timer website if he goes thru with it and does not wish to follow the field.

If you don't plan on extending into programming webpages your best bet is simply to pay someone. There are many here on the forums, and by his original title Im allowed to say "shoot me a PM" without spamming.

Good luck either way, but think of how much it's worth to your dad first.

It's for a small business of his. I wouldn't want my crappy halfassed HTML site to ruin his website. He's paying me a small amount, so I'm using that money to pay anyone here who can do it. That's all.

Shoot me a PM if you can do it. Thanks. I will paypal once I decide to use your template. You only have to take an SS of it, no need to send me the file.
