My fantastic and high quality Northbridge chipset fan on my Abit IC-7 is definitely taking a crap on me, so the time has come to replace it.

From personal experience, I'm looking for suggestions on a good quality heatsink unit that will keep a slightly overclocked system from overheating. It can be passive or fan equipped, just whatever works better. If it has mounting arms on it so that I don't have to purchase thermal adhesive, that would be fantastic as well, but not critical.

i have an IC7-G...how did the NB fuck up?

and mine comes with a cute little heatsink...doesnt yours?
 
The northbridge heatsink and fan unit on several of Abit's motherboards are rather cheap and flimsy. It's been less than a year, and it's dead. Yes, mine is the revision 1.1, so I have the updated fan and heatsink.

Can no one offer any good suggestions to my query?

I'm using a Zalman passive aluminum heatsink on mine, attached using the included thermal adhesive. So far I've been able to get my FSB to 250 on my 2.4C at 1:1, so it seems like it's doing its job pretty well. You might want to look into it.

They actually do have a mounting kit, but it's incompatible with my IC7, since Abit decided to use these retarded clips instead of mounting holes.
