my theater is done for now other then my sammy hl-t5087s (a few setback but still going to happen)

i am starting to look into replacing my pc speakers and i need a small sub. i can do under $400 and have been planning on getting an x-sub but have been coming across smaller carver subs lately.

this is doing gaming rig duty and random video clips and trailers (internet crap). i play mostly fps and being immersed is 75% of the fun. everything else is through my theater setup. i currently have an svs pb12/nsd. this thing is a beast in my small room and i don't expect an eight incher to get close, just something to keep me on my toes at the oh @$*! moments.

would it be wise for me to go with an carver dominator for under $400 or would i be better off sticking with the x-sub and saving $150? im willing to spend it just not sure if its worth the spending.

DIY is welcome

HSU is the ticket unless you want to stick with SVS and get the PB10.

Carver? Naw. I'm sure it's ok but HSU or SVS offer the best in that price range atm.

I have an audio pro sub with a 6.5 driver and the little sucker is QUICK and clean. I was really hesitant but it was only $250 for an entire 5.1 package and the sound is great. Pity there's no U.S distributers atm. Really quality product for the $$.

i am interested in the vtf-1... thank your for the link.

the pb10 is way to big. i would love to have it but nowhere to put it. i like the audiopro stuff but no importers :(

i dont have much space left in my room

i know carver has good stuff just wondering if anyone else listened to them. i heard the sig mk2 a few years ago at a friends house( his dads)

wow i like the totem dream catcher, ill look into it.
thanks

i will be placing it in the corner under the rear left channel of my gaming pc setup(near the bottom of the image) the space is 25" x 18". that sounds large but my walkin closet door s right there and if someone kicked my sub i would probably cry.

the dreamcatcher is itsy bitsy but produces big bass in a small room. I laughed at it until I heard it lol.

i see it on ebay and audiogon for under 4bills.

well i think from the look and reputation of the company that might be what i lean towards. the dynamo is the most configurable sub yet suggested and this might help me as i am forced to corner load it in my room. i would like to use this with the x-sub to weigh their worth to me with the dynamo being double the price. i think i am going to start figuring out how to go about this. thanks Pinipig

haha... thanks man. i have thought about that in the past but the svs sub that i have now makes my far more then my couch move :)

for now its not to bad. im sitting with the center of my face 6.5' from 50" screen, any bigger and i would have to rearrange.
