I need a PSU with -5V

I currently have a Silverstone 600W PSU, which has served me quite well and I would keep using it if it weren't for one thing, it doesn't have a -5V rail.

My current ASUS motherboard, a P5N32-E SLI requires a -5V rail with at least .3A. I'd prefer 700W or more, but at least 600W. I've been looking for such a supply for a few minutes now, the Silverstone, Enermax, and PC Power & Cooling supplies I looked at all lacked a -5V rail.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

This might be difficult to find unless you go with something like the Zippy PSL-6701P as the -5v was dropped from the ATX spec a while back.

That is what I thought. I think the tech support guy might have gotten 3A on the +5Vsb rail confused with .3A on the -5V rail.

I think the problem is with the motherboard, I think it's going to get RMAed next week.

While the ATX power connector has one pin assigned for -5V, I have never seen any recent mobo or peripheral card that actually uses it.

That is pretty much what I thought. With all these high-end PSUs dropping the -5V rail, I knew their couldn't be much use for it, if any. I'm pretty sure the guy was thinking of the +5Vsb, which if I remember correctly is use to power various stuff, like keyboards, mice, ect. when the PC goes into suspend to ram. I could be wrong, but that is what I remember.

I'm not the only person who has had this problem with this particular motherboard. I don't know if it could be fixed via BIOS update or not. I'm pretty reluctant to flash the BIOS if the thing fails POST after a reboot, I don't know what that could do. I'm wondering if it could ruin the BIOS flash procedure and take down the board with it.
