I'm a gamer and I'd like a new mouse.

My current mouse tends to double click when i just single click and that has caused some problems. i currently use a intellimouse explorer 1.1a

the deal is, i dont want a big drastic change that will take time to get used to, since i play fpses. i'd like the mouse to be under 30 bucks also. any reccomendations?

No "big change" eh.. dang, I would have recommended one of the Logitech trackballs... Thats all I use now.. You don't need a matt, or a desk or anything..

(I'm talking about the big balled ones, not the crappy "thumb balls")..

Uhh, why not buy a replacement for your current mouse.. Mouse is a mouse, is a mouse. Just depends on where you want the buttons.

the intellimouse is up to 1.1a and most of the ones they sell now are oem.

how big of an "upgrade" is an IM3 or 4 from a 1.

i guess i should go to a store and see for myself, but i dont think i'd be able to play any games there.

I like thumb balls.

Also I think you could get a nice pad for MX, it really helps. I can recommend you a Steelpad Qck, it has nice price and good gliding for a clothpad.

i dont know if i can ever move to those ratpads/steelpad etc kinda surfaces. for as long as i can remember, i've played fps' on my "ergopad" from belkin and it's about to go into 10 pieces now.
