I need a great microphone.

I currently have a $10 Logitech microphone that can get the job done, but it's far, far too quiet and a hassle to deal with. Looking at the reviews on newegg, Logitech screwed everyone else on that as well. I've done my best to fix it, but it's just a no go. The thing was made to be way too quiet. It's a good thing I don't use this for live computer game playing, else I'd really be angry like other people are.

Now, I've seen suggestions for headsets, but they don't exactly tell me how good the microphone is. My budget is preferably something under $40.

By the time I get a reply I may have already bought one. I notice in topics past anything about just microphone quality is typically ignored.
