Im building a pc for a friend and he wants me to set up his front usb, but the thing is i cant remember the order of the wires to install the front usb ports. Though no 1 i know even uses front usb including me, but o well i cant remember the order to put in the wires, in order for it to work.

pics would be great :D

his mo-bo: Soyo KT600

Red, White, Green, Black.
+5 volts, Data -, Data +, Ground.
If there is a second ground then its the cable screen ground.

I use my front USB for my mouse.

Luck........ :D

i use wireless mouse/keyboard (logitech Bluetooth Desktop mx(Logitech Cordless Elite bluetooth Keyboard, Logitech MX900 Mouse)), anyone got a pic of a tutorial, the manual doesnt show shit of how to set it up

which version of the kt600 does your friend have?

dragon plus, dragon plus v1.0, or ultra platinum?

soyo kt600 Dragon Plus v1.0 but i think the usb setup for all the soyo bards should be basicly the same, i just need a pic of how the wires for front usb are setup

Are you serious?

not the keyboard/mouse, thats not what im talking about. just need to know how to set up the front usb for my friend's pc kuz on top of there being no diagram in the mo-bo manual the labels on the wires are diffrent then what ive seen before... its a Chenming 302 case.

and yah there seperated, i wish his case had the nice block setup to make things easier
sry about what i said eairlear about my mouse/keyboard i was really really tired... it had nothing to do with my original post i didnt read it right....... then again i think i was thinking of what tigerbitten said about him talking about using his front usb for his mouse.... that may be what i was thinking but yah.... anyway the wires arnt labeled properly to what any tutorial/manual ive read online have said.... ill post a pic when i find my digital camera

Oh okay. I'm glad you can use a keyboard and mouse. :D I just looked at the manual thermite linked to and there is a very clear diagram of the usb header on the motherboard.

Which wire label goes with which wire colour in your case.

All the USB I've seen are wired up Red, White, Green, Black.
With the Red wire being on the niumber 1 pin,
If your wires are these colours then look on the silk screen to find the number 1 pin and wire them up in that order.
If your still not sure its wired right then just test with a cheap optical mouse.

Luck......... :D
