anyone know of a good site with a asus 9800xt in stock?? or a similar level card :)

and does the heatsink on the bottom of it perform good? i heard it kinda sucks...

well all those prices are the same as a x800 which sucks... ugh i want about a 350 dollar card and love the asus's cooling... i might go for a x800 pro but they are never in fucking stock....

ome num nut on newegg posted a review that ati cards are compatible with the asus a8v delux which i have...and am having problems with my ati 9800 pro (artifacting) {however it did it on my athlon xp rig too when my 9200 didnt) so any truth to this??

if your 9800 pro is artifacting, the RMA it.

ATI cards and nVidia cards are compatable with every board, with some minor exceptions. artifacting is a faulty card, not motherboard incompatability

ok....fuck that sucks lol how would i go about to rma it... and i guess i SHOULD i was gonna upgrade further but wanna save money....so ya tips / how would i rm it? i still have the orig box

go to the manufacturer's website and check go to support and search for "Request RMA" or if they dont have that, find the phone number and call them to request an RMA. who made your card?

ati made the card, i sent a rma request ... so u sure its a faulty card??

Proc: AMD64 3500+ 90nm
Ram: 1GB dual channel pc 3200
HD: master; 300GB sataII ncq 16mb buffer slave; 120gb
Sound: audigy2
PSU: Antec 480w true blue
Vid card: 256mb 9800 pro
tv tuner / 1 GB lan
lite-on cdrw / dvd-rw combo
MB: asus a8v delux

and i only get 20,000 aquamarks ive updated every driver/ bios etc ran test more then once and still the same (its actualy like 19,347points but whatever) as i said before i get some artifacting on text in windows too ...same thing on my old athlon xp rig with this card so is it faulty?

no its not overclocked and i have 3 fans on it plus stock, and can u give me tips on sending in a rma??

1. Return only the item requiring repair. Do not return the outer box, diskettes, or manual. Your packing material will not be returned to you.

lol.. so i gotta take it to work and stop at the post office after with NO box?? and just use one at the post office or what.... also wont the post office not ship it with writing on the box??

and i put RMA# XXXXXXXXXXXXXXX or how do u put it

ok ... not to get to far offtopic i decided to rma this card abut i asked do u think its faulty especialy since i only get 19,xxx aquamarks and artifacting on text when not in games

Well if you did general trouble shooting, like trying various driver sets, making sure your motherboard chipset drivers are current and seeing if the video card isn't sharing any IRQs with other devices, then RMAing it might not be a bad idea. I myself have never RMAed a product before, but I presume you would just follow the instructuions that they give you and mail it to them in good packaging and with the RMA number written clearly on the envelope.
