With my 2 meg ATA100 drives I was getting about 11 megs a sec transfer :rolleyes:

bought a raptor off my friend on a whim ($50, not bad)

I am wondering how much slower/faster this will be compared to my 10k u160 drive I have coming in a few days. We shall see...Ill probabily set the SCSI to be the system drive, the SATA for programs, and my old drives for data
 
That would depend on what 10k SCSI drive you have coming. Older ones will probably be beaten by the Raptor, a newer model would probably win in some benchmarks and lose in others.
