OKay so I looked, and I couldn't find anywhere to post this.

But I thought someone out there might enjoy this read.

When I was about 12, I was OBSESSED with my computers, well I still am, but anyways, one day my report card came in, and suprise! Just before the first week of school, our ISDN line was installed (hey I lived in the forest, and it was 10 years ago, ISDN was the shiznit) so upon my fathers inspection of the report card, he decided to ground me, and the only way to really do that was to take my computers away

OUCH!

SO anyways, one morning I stole one back, ran into my room with it at 5:00 AM when I knew my dad was sleeping
and put it on the ground, and set it up, just so I could play single player starcraft haha

anyways I was so nervous about the noise from the fans (in an eight bedroom home, and I was four rooms away from my dad, shut up I was a dumb kid) so I put a SLEEPING BAG over my computer, yes maximum heat disipation can be had with a simple sleeping bag around the tower. But it wasn't enough, I could still here the noise from the fan. so I stuck a screwdriver in the PSU fan, to stop it, and as I am putting the sleeping bag back on, I here a noise, it was not really a noise, but more like a drucking GUNSHOT bang from my computer, and then a hiss.

I imediatly started throwing my monitor into my closet, shoving keyboards and mice and headphones under my bed, and pretty much bracing to get screamed at. But I left the power cable plugged into the wall outlet. ... wow how stupid was that.

about thirty seconds later, I reach down to pull the sleeping bag off and felt something bite me! I was shocked so I yanked the bag off fast to discover it was on fire! AHHHH!!!! My computer and carpet and sleeping bag are all on fire, and I start screaming DAD! I run to his room, he wakes up, and when he hears the word fire he gets the extinguisher FAST and saves the house, but ruines about a foot patch of carpet, my beloved computer, and my sleeping bag.

Pretty much my dad screamed at me for a few days.

and then I had to buy a new computer.

life's a bitch.

Okay so the only reason I am posting this is because its 5:41 AM and I was tryign to sleep but still have too much rockstar in my system, and sleep is not happening. Hope someone enjoyed reading this, before an admin decides this is retarded and deletes it.

GOODNIGHT!

Probably should be in GenMay, but I have done something that stupid before. I remember getting up ~5 AM before bed just so I could play Demolition derby on our 486, but I forgot one friday my dad gets that day off, and he walks in the basement door as I am getting into a game xD

I think we can learn a lesson from this, don't put a screwdriver into a psu fan :D

Agreed. [Note to self; screwdrivers near open computers (while running) = bad.] :p
