I just tried an experiment and I think I figured out how to overload a dual core machine. Download memtest and run two instances...telling each instance to check 824MB of RAM (assuming you have 2GB of RAM). Then run two instances of Prime95 in torture mode using "Blend". Brings my machine to its knees....its the first time I've seen this machine slow down significantly.

You're stressing the ram not the CPU. Theres a difference between the 2

I realize that. I am just amazed that I found something that will slow this thing down...you have to remember that my old machine was a socket A at 2.2GHz.
