Ok, I just received it about two hours ago so I haven't been able to fully play around with it and I am currently using the VGA port to connect to my PC as I am going to buy some monster dvi cable later. The feeling of simply browsing the web cannot be explained in words. As I am typing this looking from two feet away at this GIANT screen that is as sharp as my 3 year old 21" dell crt (I am using VGA atm and I have yet to calibrate it so it should look even better later on) I feel like I am a KING or better yet, a GOD!
Simply put this thing is huge! The screenshots cannot even compare to when you are alone in a room infront of this monster.
I was watching an episode of Naruto earlier encoded in crappy lowbitrate divx and it still was an awesome experience. I was playing some dungeon siege II and it looked very nice on the westinghouse considering the game doesn't support extremely high resolutions.
I primarily got this piece for pc gaming, xbox360gaming, and dvds. From what I have seen so far it looks like it will meet my needs and then some. I tested it out using the POS composite cable on my regular xbox and it still looked very good. The dvds sucked though through composite but that is normal for HD tvs.
I was very worried about this purchase because it is a hefty sum of money and it is VERY hard to find jack of all trade TV's that perform very well that don't cost over $15,000. This set seems to do a very good job at anything you throw at it. Of course it will never compare to a $4,000 plasma for DVDs and HDTV or a CRT TV for regular SD cable but that is just the way it goes.
I will post a followup once I get my DVI cable and play around more.
