Well I only got one reply from my thread about which video card to get (thanks to that guy, and I had read the FAQ, and explained well) but I ended up getting a better video card, although that was a good one I considered.

Anyway, anyone know about this card? I think it seems like a good choice, I just bought it off newegg.

Definately looks decent. If you consider buying an AGP card is upgrading ;)
What card are you going from?
 
qbackin, from what I read, pci-express isn't really faster than agp (cards not the slot) due to limitations on the actual cards at the moment, Also I don't have a pci-e slot , nor am I buying a new motherboard.

Oh and to top it off I have a geforce 5200 that my brother gave to me, after I'd been using a geforce 2 MX for about 5 years lol..

I would call that an upgrade, wouldn't you? ;-)
 
Apparently you arent a big fan of upgrading much?
Of course that card is a drastic improvement over an fx5200 ;)

well .. I built a system in 2000 which a geforce 2 was alright for.. then it 2002 when I build my current 2.26 ghz comptuer, I spent like all my money on other stuff... and at the time I wasn't into any serious video games so I was going to buy a card later.. plus I'm a college student and didn't always have a lot of money last few years, but I've been working an engineering co-op doing software development so I have got some cash now =] hence.. I finally get a decent graphics card! ( well I had the 5200 from my brother, but I was playing unreal 2004 on a geforce 2 !!)

He bought a AGP. That XL is PCI-e .Would be nice if that XL was agp or I would buy.

This sucks. It has got to be one of the worst times to buy a card on a budget. Choices, choices, choices.
