I-INC 28" - Thoughts?

that price is cheap!

It's a TN panel which is often a killjoy based on the 160* viewing angles. The better panels are typically ~178* viewing angles. That particular spec lies. On some TN's just moving your head slightly off center makes the colors shift. That sucks - particularly on a big monitor like this. Some TN's are better than others however. The Mac Book Pro panel for instance is a TN and a very nice looking TN. If somebody chimes in that this is a good display I might pick one up to try it for myself.

Yeah I was just thinking a full LARGE screen 16:10 Eyefinity for like 700 bones.

I was planning on driving up to my nearest MicroCenter here soon and getting one of these.
They are rebadged Hanns-G 28" monitors. I remember my buddy's Hanns-G before he shot it with his kids airsoft gun.

The only issue he ever had with it is he said it was super bright. Which you can fix by turning the brightness down to 20-30 and won't affect the colors at all.

Hoping to get this early next week if you grab one let me know how you like it. I'll do the same I'm hoping by going instore they will let me open it up there before I leave and make sure it has no dead/stuck pixels.

I have the Hanns-G version of this, for the price get it you won't be disappointed, like others have said adjust the brightness WAY down

I bought mine at CompUSA for $249.99 A great price for a 28" LCD. And at 1920 x 1200 res. Not that silly 1920x1080 the industry is forcing upon us. Some people have reported a stuck pixel upon start up but most people havent had that problem. Generally speaking the feedback for this unit is mostly good. I guess you could call it a poor man's 28" LCD. Can other monitors beat it? I'm sure in tests they can but for the money its a great value. I'm thinking of buying two more for Eyefinity game play when I build my next rig once the new P6 mobos hit the street. Two 6950 cards flashed to 6970 work well with three of these monitors I hear. I just need to buy one more 6950 and two more monitors and I'll be in Eyefinity heaven.

Ive had two of the hanns-g model. I wouldnt do them for eyefinity. They color shift vertically just by leaning back in your chair. I would hate to see them on a 20+ degree angle for eyefinity.

Just picked one up off Amazon for $268.00 shipped. Ordered Sunday, received it yesterday. No dead/stuck pixels, very lightweight, at least compared to the 24" it replaced - it's now my second monitor. Had to fiddle with the color settings to get it where I liked it, but now it has a bright, colorful picture. I think I took permanent cornea damage when I first fired it up though, I have tan lines where the rims of my glasses were at the time.

Overall, I'm pleased with it. I'm not a color or LCD buff of any kind so I'm speaking purely from eyeballing it. I planned on getting an HP ZR30W, but wasn't convinced the size would be a good fit for my desk so went with the less expensive solution to feel it out. That and frankly even with my tax return funds in hand dropping $1200.00 on a monitor still gives me the eebie-jeebies.

Only annoying things for me so far:
1) Takes a little longer to wake up from sleep.
2) Had to spend some time fiddling with the colors for it to not looked washed out.
3) My eyes bled when I first cut it on.
4) The buttons across the bottom took a little getting used to, just small buttons and I kept hitting the wrong ones.

$268.00 for this behemoth is a steal - I may sing a different tune if it dies prematurely, but if not it is an incredible value and a good interim step for those working towards a 30".
