I have recently purchased the Hauppage HDPVR. I have found that it has serious lag times when changing channels. This keeps WMC from being able to record TV shows and it's just a pain in the butt.
I noticed that if I change channels with the cable box remote that the channels change in under 2 seconds (probably just encoding and USB latency time). This leads me to believe that if I can configure my old IR blaster that came with my HTPC as the channel changing device then all will be right in the world.
The only problem I have is that I don't know how to tell WMC to use the older IR Blaster for channel changing. Does anyone know where this setting is held? Registry somewhere? Media center config files?
