I have to ask....(HD5870)

Where are the graphic demos?
Miss the old days of the ATI Chimp, Dawn, Nalu etc..

[jp_zer0]

They lost relevance since Crysis.

They would be useful right now. Wouldn't they? But I agree Crysis is a deal breaker. Still though...

Go here - http://developer.amd.com/GPU/Pages/default.aspx

Go to Samples and Demos/GPU Demos

Tons of stuff there

Meant DirectX 11 + 5870 specific demos.

Thanks for the link though. Cool Stuff. Shoot did they ever release the Ruby Demo with the Cars and the Mech thing? Or the Scorpian demo?

[vjcsmoke]

I think Ruby is the demo girl? They were showing some super realistic things with her at the release event. Dunno where you can DL it. But here's a series of slides.

Ruby Whiteout can be downloaded here - http://ati.amd.com/developer/demos/rhd2000.html

It is older, but it is DX10

Here is Ruby Double Cross, it is even older - http://ati.amd.com/developer/demos/rX800.html

I haven't seen any DX11 Ruby stuff, they did a video/ruby demonstration using ati stream, but I'm not sure what API it was running, I've seen it before on DX10 hardware, so I think it is DX10 level as well, not sure if a DX11 Ruby exists.

When is ATI going to release *any* of that Cinema 2.0 stuff they have been showing (even the one from last year with the mech on the street, etc.). Makes you wonder if any of that stuff was even in real-time or they just pulled a Sony.

They took my advice and decided to use the demo team to make supersampling work, instead of some demo folks go WOW!!! NEAT... but it does nothing!. Obviously not the case, but I can't say I miss the demos too much these days, I still get my jollies with rthdrbl.

Those are the demo's I was talking about.

Those aren't ATI property to my understanding. That was some 3rd party software developer's work.
