I just got a watercooling system, instaleld and, and for some reason my pc wont boot up. I have no idea whats goign on. I thoguht it was my video card, but usualyl when there is no power going it, it makes this loud ass noise and tells you on the screen..

I realyl have no idea what I did since i didnt move any wires, onlysome molex cables

Is everything getting power? Whats happening during bootup? A few details could go a long way.

yup, every thing is getting power (I checked)

nothing is happening, its not even booting up. I had a similar problem on another computer, and it turned out one of the wires was the wrong way, but i havent tuoched any of the wires in my comp.

Is there enough power for everything? It could just be a coincidence that something failed when you put the kit in. Try unplugging everything except the CPU, RAM and vid card. See if that boots. If it doesn't, then it might be something else.

oh man, i didnt even think if I had enough power for everything. let me go check

ok tired, still not booting up.

do video cards start to get hot when you turn youtr comp on? mines not getting hot at all which is making me think that either

A) that might be the proble

B)my water cooler is realyl powerful lol

You could be on to something. Some vid cards are designed to run hot - don't ask me why. My dad had that problem with his MX440-SE. On cold mornings, the comp wouldn't boot - not properly or not at all. Try disconnecting the water cooling kit and seeing if it boots properly. You need to try and get it to run hot and see if it works.

ok tried that and it gets hot, but not booting up.

I fear it that my 9800 might be F***ed :( which woudl be weird, bc i was careful as hell with it.

grr, im gona take it up to this place tmorrow and have them look at it. i really dont want to mess with it any more.

One thing to try.
Attach an old heat sink fan to the mobo's heat sink fan header.
Then try and boot.
Some mobo's have an auto-shutdown when no heat sink fan is detected.
Don't know if your mobo is one of them but............

Luck........ :D

tired, didnt work either lol. grrrr <hopes card istn messed up>

Take the video card out of the system and see if you get some beeps. If you dont get any beeps, the video card is not your problem. Next thing to take out is the ram... if that doesnt get you anything then you may have damaged something during installation.

So it's not booting up, or it's not powering up? Since I'm not sure what you mean i'll try to help in both scenarios.

If you mean there doesn't seem to be power going to the computer, and no error codes or beeps, make sure all power connections are firmly in place where they should be, especially the motherboard. I know you have, just try it again. Secondly, make sure your case panel connections haven't been removed/fallen off while you were working in there. I just had to show my brother how to properly connect those things, he was freaking out when the computer wouldn't turn on. Make sure the PSU is plugged in and the power switch is on.

If it is powering up but you're not seeing anything, make sure your video card is securely connected to the monitor cable and that to the monitor. Clear the CMOS on the motherboard. If your water cooling setup runs off your PSU, disconnect it.

Lastly, you still need to provide some more information. Is the system not powering up, not posting, or not booting into your OS? There's a big difference between all of those and all you've said is it won't boot, but I don't think that's the real issue.

Are there any error codes? Beeps? Bad smells? Is there any hard drive activity? What is it about the problem that makes you think it's the video card?

There is power going ot it, but its not booting up, (nothign shows up on the screen).

Ive tried like everything you said and it still wont work.

i think im just goan give up and take it in tomorrow

lol, i cant take anything in, if i brought in a wc system, theyd prolly spill watter all over the place
