I Have A Research Paper Due Tommoro Morning And My Computer Is Gone! Help Needed Plz!

so i ihave a research paper due tommoro morning and my sony vaio says "missing operating system" when i boot and it wont even let me boot into safe mode or anything, so i took out the harddrive and put it into my dads computer to retreive my research paper i have due tommoro, and since the hard drive is partiontned only one partiont is being recodnized and my paper is on the other partionion, do u have anyidea what i can do, cuz the other partion when iever i click on it, it always says that it is unrecodnizable!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! HELP ME PLEASE!!!!!AHHHH

In what format was the OS partition versus your father's system?

Is the file tree visible in Explorer?

You may have some luck browsing the Disk Storage forum and doing a file/data recovery search.
