Hey Guys I wonder if you can help me.

I have been looking at replacing my Ati 3850 due to its age and I have been strongly looking at the 4850 since I only have a 22" LCD.

So I have been looking at reviews and I noticed Steve posted a review from this site this morning:

What I can't understand is how in Vantage a 3850 beats the 4850 at 1024. I don't get anywhere near those scores that they are getting and I run with a 3.0 overclock. I know Vantage is not a great benchmark to begin with but I am just trying to make sure I get the best card for my hard earned money. The reason that I looked at this review was because it was so recent and I wanted to see how it performed in new titles but they didn't really use any. Their numbers seem a little off to me maybe I am wrong. There is so many junk sites out there nowadays so I try and go by what I seen on Hardocp and the sites that they post.

Can someone enlighten me? Is the 4850 a 3850 killer and I need to not worry and just buy it or are these guys right and I should by something better? These little rinky dinky sites are flipping confusing lol

The 4850 should be at least equal to two 3850's in CrossFire, most probably slightly faster.

I don't know about vantage and really could care less. I can tell you that the 4850 will utterly smoke the 3850 in game playing. though really for just a little more money you can get a 4870 512mb that would even be better
 
Ya maybe the 4870 is a better buy for me thanks for the input guys.

I will start looking at prices for those and see what I can come up with.
