I hate Intel but..

Did they run over your grandma or piss in your cornflakes? I'm guessing no on both accounts - so why do you "hate Intel" exactly? I will never understand some people. :D

you are not one of those AMD fan boys? are you. I like both AMD and Intel, I use them both on my builds

It sounds like you dont mind Intel trying to push AMD under have NO Competition of any sort, Monopolize the PC Industry,Be a Commie run and control enviroment and tell you what to do and buy otherwise we will kill your attemtps and tell other vendors NOT to use your Product. Pay Others OFF again NOT to use you Product.Sound fair to meh eh ? I tinks not. Why doesnt Intel be MORE Competitive like AMD and give us the customer\consumer lower prices and be happy with the Zillions of dollars the company has? I looked into buying Intel i really did but the cpu and brd alone COST the WHOLE amount of my entire amd build with an ATI 5870..amd phenom II 955, Gigabyte brd, 4 gigs of ram ddr3 1600, 2 x 500 sata hdd backups with 1 sata WD 74 gig Raptor, Creative labs X-fi game rsound , antec 900 case and 22 inch Monitor Widescreen. 2 x dvdrw LG's. Vista Ultimate 64 bit sp2. Oh ya by the way i paid for my whole AMD setup CASH unlike you with prolly credit card and will be paying it off over the next 2-4 yrs unlike meh :D. I dont get\understand why you foolz overpay for intel and not being more sensible minded people. If we ALL paid for things that WE could "ONLY" Honestly really afford maybe we wouldnt be in the Greatest Depression of the 21 Century.

Holy crap you actually clicked on the link lol.

I've seen many people arguing that point about how evil Intel are

Do you think AMD would not have done the same had they been in Intel's position?
Do you think AMD have no desire to monopolize the market if they were capable of it?

AMD is doing what they are doing because they have to. They are not trying to care for the consumer any more than Intel or any other corporate does.

Are you guys sure this isn't a big joke on us? He turns an i3 thread into "Intel users paying with a CC" - lol.

I hope you realize that the fanboys are going the way of the dodo bird bud.

This is possibly the most retarded post I have seen here this year. Congratulations, with only 3 weeks left in the year, you managed to win the crown. You also won this award with being retarded in two different areas:

1) Content. It makes little to no sense to compare a high end CPU/MB/Ram combo to a lower performance CPU/MB/RAM combo. Had you looked at CPU's from Intel other then the Core series, you would have paid about the same price for better performance. Comparing breaking anti-trust laws to communism(tip, if it is still a publicly/privately held company, it is not state run, so not communism). Calling our recession a depression. The list is too long.

2) English. Run on sentences all over the place. Sentences that last for the length of a paragraph, using fantastic works like 'foolz.' Yes, typos and accidentally typing the wrong word will happen, you on the other hand have a problem grasping basic English concepts.

I would highly recommend not posting again until your testicles descend, as you may not only become for first back to back winner, but may make a run spanning a decades worth of back to back most retarded post of the year awards.

Much as I hate to feed the troll, I have to disagree, there's a reason AMD continues to hold the lower to mid market. Intel just barely sells there and as one goes up the amount gained by going Intel doesn't fully correlate to the price increase for a good distance. Unless one is going straight for performance and speed, Intel actually can _not_ make sense.

That being said I am using an Intel chip, I just think you're wrong. I mean, if you weren't, then AMD really would have no spot in the market considering Intel's undisputed anti-trust violations.

I'm there with ya, used to only be AMD.

But now I see a use for both.

AMD AM3 for the HTPC and I7 920 for the Gaming PC

If you comparre current gen Intel flagship to current gen AMD flagship, you are right. The problem is that last gen(and in some cases, 2 generations ago) Intel CPU's still compete with and in many cases beat current gen AMD CPU's.

Those Intel CPU's and MB can be purchased at the same prices as AMD CPU/MB combos, or within a reasonable amount of money difference.

AMD's flagship CPU's compete with Intels lower class CPU's. This is where you see the prices even out. Example:

Phenom II X4 965 BE and the Core i5 750 perform very closely.

Microcenter currently has the 965 BE for $185.99, the 750 for $149.99.

Newegg has the 965 Be for $195.00, 750 for $199.99.

Don't compare flagship to flagship, compare performance to performance and they come out within a reasonable amount of money difference between the two.

In most cases Intel chips oc better than AMD chips; most people here being [H]ard, that means a lot because the majority of us also run oc'd systems.
AMD makes decent stuff, I'm not saying they don't. Chip for chip, Intel duals beat AMD duals and Intel quads beat AMD quads. Intel may cost slightly more, but you get what you pay for.

Any normal non-[H]ard user that doesn't oc or runs a stock system/buys prebuilt doesn't give a crap about which manufacturer they get because they won't notice the difference. Most enthusiasts go Intel though unless they're jaded/stubborn like Mr. OP here.

I hate Intel so much I just can stop giving them my money.... damn.

So you hate Intel because one e-tailor had i3's on their Web site but it was fake?

no he hates intel because the last good chip out of AMD was for skt 940. Those opterons kicked ASS! Those were the good old days, back when a TT big typhoon was amazing for air cooling, and 4gb of ram maxed out the board. I think I still have an old Asus A8N deluxe somewhere

I just hope they get someone with some sense in ATI, I'd love to try the eyefinity, but the last time I bought an ATI card the drivers made me return it the same day. Haven't touched ATI since the X1600XT was an ok card.

Let me guess you have an NV card in the system and just uninstalled the drivers then plugged in the ati card and had issues?

IIRC I had just built the damn thing, installed windows, and tried to install catalyst. It was terrible. Then I found some website with 3rd party drivers on it, they worked marginally better, but not well enough for me to not want to return it.

Like I said if they get the eyefinity working a little better (triple DVI ports or working crossfire groups) I'd give them another shot. Otherwise I have yet to be disappointed with nVidia.
