I guess I didn't fix it

it seemed that me disabling Cool and Quiet and adding .25 volts to the processor would fix the problem I've been having of it restarting. It worked for a couple of days and then while I was running a virus scan, it crashed. So I downclocked it to 2.16 ghz again  any ideas on what my problem is (computer would restart when CPU was at 2.2 ghz)

it could be a power supply issue, thats not that big of an overclock so I wouldn't suspect that but what are your temps at 2.2 and votage req?

my temps were fine, 30 degrees C or so, I have a 480W Antec Neopower though which has never given me any kind of problem before, it also only seems to restart during programs that use alot of the CPU like virus scans and games. Even though it never restarted during the Prime 95 Torture Test. Could it be my mobo? it's a fairly cheap one.

Did you run memtest? I can't remember. Also, get your PSU checked!

Most restarting problems are either caused by

A) Overclocking

B) PSU

Please please please set back to stock.

hmmmm didn't I read somewhere that the Neopower 480 was problematic in some systems?

Could just be your luck of the draw. One or all of your components might have issues with OCing. If it's just one good luck finding that one piece of the puzzle. It might even be that a combination of what you've got doesn't like to OC together too.

I would suggest you follow the overclocking guide on this board that steps you through the O/C process by getting your max memory speed, max motherboard speed, and max processor speed. If you do this, you might be able to tell if your motherboard is really at fault.
