I gotta ask; Windows Based OC Programs for a Dell?

As the title reads. I took the plunge and bought a Dell for a crazy low price, the video card overclocks like a monster so I wanted to see if the CPU carries the same trait. Google searching or [H] seraching didn't come up with anything so any suggestions? System specs are in sig.

Thanks.

I know that some motherboard manufacturers make that kind of windows based overclocking utility, but I don't think that there is a universal overclocking tool. With videocards pretty much all the cards of a certain model will have the same bioses, so that they can work with the same drivers. That is why you see videocard overclock tools- there isn't as much variety. With motherboards, though, the physical designs and bioses vary wildly from manufacturer to manufacturer, and from model to model. While the basic parts are basically universal, the parts that are used to adjust system specific settings, such as FSB, are different for each MB, making a universal overclocking program practically impossible. I hope that made sense.

I believe what you are looking for is a program called soft-fsb. as long as your Clock generator is supported you will be able to overclock that machine. the only problem is that I forgot what the URL for the site is.. but you can probably google it and find it. :D hope this helps :)

That's the basic concept of what I was looking for. It doesn't look promising though. Seems rather ancient. Any other ideas?

Thanks for the link. I didn't open up the PC to check things out but I'm getting errors galore when I run that program. Meh, it was worth a shot.
