Well, after roughly six weeks of researching, battling with myself back and forth, I have finally gave in and purchased a Powercolor X800 XT PE from Newegg today. While the purchase is no where near an economically smart buy, it's truly something that I wanted. I have owned nVIDIA cards from TNT all the way to GeForce 4, but ever since the 9800 series I have been appreciating ATI cards very much. Despite both companies offering great cards this round, I found myself yearning for another ATI card. After a lot of headaches and sleepless nights, I have come to the conclusion today that I will, once again, choose ATI, and after I placed the order I felt very relieved and happy about the choice I made. Afterall, I just wanted to say "cheers" to all the ATI owners, WOOT! :D

Congrats and they truely are a great card no matter what people try and spin ;) Having owned a 6800U and X800XTPE and I truly feel the X800 is the better card? And the drivers are so much better :p No endless betta BS.
 
Congrats....awesome card. I had to go the cheap route and MAKE my own XT-PE. But it worked flawlessly and it does well over PE speeds....
 
i wonder how much further a true PE model can go on overclocking over a pro or standard XT - fit a silencer to it and do some oc'ing!
 
with the silencer on my xt pe ... I'm at 550/580 with no artifacting ... I never got enough time to work on it but that's as far as i got ...
