i can't see mp3s but itunes does?

yo, so my computer frooze up when i was clearing my itunes list in order to reload all my music (properly categorized). I rebooted and my music directory said it was empty. however in intunes, only a handful of songs work, and when i go to "show file", it says there in the "empty directory". my harddrive is also showing that the 80 gigs of music is still there. i can't see them when i click the directory though, any suggestions?

they aren't hidden files either.

I can type in like D:\Music\Boston and it will come up, but when I go to the Music directory, it's blank. The problem is I want to listen to my music but I don't remember all the exact directory names. anyone know why all the Band folders would vanish from the music folder?
