I sent my two day old busted Seasonic S12 back to Seasonic complete with RMA paperwork. They promptly sent the same busted PSU back to me sans paperwork or anything else.

THANKS SEASONIC!!!

Anyone having a real contact beyond their customer service would be appreciated. I can't call for a few days until I calm down enough. I hate shit like this.

There is no swearing in thread titles - Ice Czar

first of all, you should rethink your thread title. one bad user experience (possibly due to user error) does not merit a companies entire product line bad. imagine the kind or replies youll get if you posted "PC Power Cooling sucks Donkey balls? TRUE!!" or "AMD sucks Donkey balls? TRUE!!".

well, Seasonic has the option to repair that PSU if they wanted to, maybe thats why you recieved it back? most importantly, does the returned PSU work?

my S12 600w works fine and i bought it at SVC. they told me that if it goes bad within 4 months, theyll send me a replacement. does the place you got it at offer that sort of service or do they make you deal with Seasonic?

if you only sent the the PSU and the paperwork, and they only sent you back the PSU (sans paperwork), what exactly were you expecting?

what exactly happened to the said PSU? was it DOA or did it just stop working all of a sudden? if it was DOA, did you make sure it was really the PSU's fault (testing mobo with another working PSU).

What's "busted" about it (especially after only 2 days)?

It doesn't work. Dead PSU after two days of operation it just died.
Went thru the RMA process PROPERLY and got approved by Seasonic and they sent the same PSU back without repairing it. Not only that there was no explanation and they removed the documentation to boot. WTF bother even sending it back?

And busted means doesn't power on at all. I bought it from newegg I believe but it had a manufacturers warranty only. It was benched by me and second opinioned at a friends PC repair shop. Seasonic dropped the friggin ball here period.

Donkey sack.

Anyone else getting sick of these whiney threads from a single person who had a bad experience?!

I'd love to know how creating a thread on an online forum that has no affiliiations with (insert company here) is going to solve your problem?

Amen!

I recall sending a PSU to seasonic and they sent it back in a few weeks no problem. You don't hear me acting like a 12yr old rich sobby boy who wants everything his way, now do you?

Newegg only allows manf rma's on that model of psu. You need to be fired from reading ;)

Wow, it is only 2 days old? No wonder, you send it back to the place you bought it from dumbass. Send it is newegg for the rma and they will replace it.

This is not always the case with all hardware. My BFG 6800 and 7800 cards I bought in the past had a slip of paper requesting that they be sent back to the manufacturer and not to the retailer/e-tailer.

This is noted on neweggs website though.

It will say "This item can be returned to the product manufacturer only" if this is the case...it doesn't.

To all the asshats: fuck off, kiss my ass, etc...

thanks alot for the support. If you can't rant a bit here where then? All I was doing was letting off some steam BEFORE I contacted Seasonic again. After having 2 High Dollar supposedly solid PSUs fail on me and having to resort to a 350 watt which is creating stability issues I wanted to scream a bit.

Sorry if I offended anyone for being upset with a company that fucked me over.

It wan't newegg it was some other smaller company who's return policy doesn't compare to Neweggs but the Egg was out of stock then.

Anyway NM I'll take care of it.

and wtf is that? wants it my way? how about FIXING THE FUCKING THING LIKE THE ARE SUPPOSED TOO?

Stfu if you don't have anything constructive to add.

Good, let off some steam.

Just don't say seasonic sucks, you can't base a whole company off one or two in your case transactions...

agreed. Seasonic doesn't suck donkey balls but the tech or employee that sent me my psu back in the same condition?

blows horsey FTW

If that was true then Antec's PSUs suck donkey balls since I've had two of them blow up on me (literally blue sparks were seen).

I have no idea why your PSUs were returned to you without any working being down, yes quite possibly they dropped the ball on this one but I fail to see how that means Seasonic's quality is all of the sudden "in question" based on your two failed units.

just venting man. had a really bad day after building an uber sys and you go to flick the switch and....nothing then having to take it to a shop to bench it...the tower weighs damn near 80lbs...I have a right to be pissed.

not an excuse for flaming, and I don't think you have definatively determined that the PSUs are at fault, the fact they returned is indicitive that they maynot be the issue, there are housekeeping signals, load requirements ect, the supplies may well be operating within their parameters but that will have to wait till you get back

or that something they are trying to power or are drawing power from is the issue
