Ok, so i read a few how to's and well it just ain't working... HEre's what i did

I'm running XP 2000+ Palomino, with 512 Kingston RAM DDR266. mobo = abit kr7a-133

so i followed what this guide that's posted on overclockers.com

I lowered my multiplier to 8 from 12.5, or 12. i don't remember right now. And i left the FSB at 133 to test it out before i start notching up the FSB. I restarted the computer, and it didn't even get past post.. i had to reset the CMOS to get the computer back up again...

What's the deal? did i do something wrong? i hope i didn't screw up my machine.. >=\

interesting... i got the feeling unlocking it is gonna be something i won't be too comfortable doing, any good sites you can pass on?

pali's are known for being terrible and hot overclockers aren't they??!! Unlocking didn't sound so great to me so I just tried to run with the highest fsb I could get and I ended up only reaching 12.5x147... would fail prime95 with in seconds but besides that, it ran stable it seemed, and oh yeah... HAUT.
