I can't install the PVR-500 even if my life depended on it. HELP.

system specs:

windows media edition
amd 64 x2 3800
dfi lanparty ut nf4 ultra d



Ok... I installed the card and booted up i tried to run the setup on the cd included and got a missing .dll error. when to the site and its apperantly a common problem. I followed the instructions on Here and when i try to run wintv2000 i get "WinTV Initialization Error. hTV=10".

and when i try to run media center and click on "live tv" i get "Video decoders had either malfunctuibed or its not installed"


I really have no idea what to do next, i searched around for similiar issues but found none.

please help me, if you have any idea of what could be wrong.
 
Have you tried moving it around to different PCI slots? Have you tried it in another PC? A non DFI PC?
 
Do you have a dvd decoder installed - Win DVD, Power DVD, Purevideo etc ?

Does it show intalled correctly in device manager, under 'sound video and game controllers, or does it have a yellow ! next to it?
