I put this in my PC AMD 3500+, MSI NForce 3 ultra 939 board in a PCI slot and it wont reconize it. Am I doing somethin wrong. I have moved it to a 2nd PCI slot and neither time has the new hard ware found box came up. I have installed the drivers off the CD even the latest from the web but it's like it's not there. When I plug my cat 5 cable into it I see some led lighs come on in the nic card but I've did a add new hardware search and everything and windows just cant see the card at all. What am I doing wrong or did I just get a bad card. One thing I find kinda strange is that it doesn't seem to go to far in to the PCI slot compared to other PCI cards I put in it like it's halfway in or something, but I do get LEDs when I plug in my network cable and it seems to fit the slot OK(ie I can screw it in fine) So what do you guys think , do I have something turned off, Under network conections I'm seeing a microsoft 1394 or something but I thought that that was always there maybe thats the card with basic MS drivers and not intels. When I go into device manager under network devices it does not show anything Intel, there my onboard Realtek and The windows one and A Marvell or the 2nd one on my motherboard that I disabled because I use the realtek. Just plain weird and frustrating i hate mailing stuff back when it's probably something I'm doing.

Got it working, just wasn't pushed in all the way. But since the LED's were lighting up it was thowing me off. Any way what do you guys think of this NIC Card I just purchaced and Motorola SB5120 cable modem and this nic card to get my online activity on the best posible components. In CS:S I'm pinging on ave High 30 mil sec, 3000/512 is my connection. Well I have all the best peices I could think of so my online is finished as far as upgrades Latest Modem + best NIC I guess I'll see if it's any more stable. David

Try taking the card back out and cleaning the contacts off first. (But don't touch the contact with your fingers). Troubleshoot there first and see what happens. I'll do more research here for you.
