Who got sucked up into the Hiper 580's bling. I was just wondering who has one, and how is it performing for you. I have boot issues and I am wondering if this psu may be the culprit.

could you elaborate on your boot issues? its not such a terrible psu.

Asus A8N32 SLI- Deluxe
AMD X2 4600@2.7
Evga 7900GT KO
2 gig Corsair 3500 pro
Raptor 150
Hiper psu
TT Armor Case
It "should" be fine with just one 7900GT KO, what else is running off this PSU? Please list all.

Just one cd/dvd drive. A few fans and 2 cold cathod lights.
I have a slow boot... 9 bars on the xp screen, then it hangs on the welcome screen. My start up is at min, AVG and AMD drivers thats it.
I could be just paranoid after reading johnny's review. But I have done and researched my slow boot and come up with nothing. System rocks other than boot time.
So going SLI with this psu is a no no?

Pull one of the sticks of RAM.
I have done that. I even replaced the ram went from gskill that was ok to the corsair3500ll pro.
I did unplug the cathod lights no difference.
I have spent weeks trying to figure this out. Nothing I do makes a difference.
Thats why I curious if anyone else was having problems with this psu. Its about the only thing I have not changed.

Did that too. Also stock vcore. I have not updated bios still using 1205. From what I have read that seems to be a stable bios.
Maybe I have a bad windows cd?

Wow Tims, sounds like everything is at stock. I had an issue similar to this about 6 years ago, did just about everything you did, and to make a long story short.......I tried underclocking my cpu,set my fsb from 133 to 100.

After that problem solved, new cpu purchased and 2 months of my life were just wasted on that p.o.s :p

Is there anything in your event viewer by chance that could tip you off? background proggies?

Sphere

David thanks for the link. I have a pretty good multimeter will check out the psu.
Sphere there is nothing in the event viewer. When I click on recent there is nothing there.

I had similar issues. If your ps is ok then try different amd drivers. I uninstalled them and now no problems. Oddly enough I also thought it was the Hiper I just got the wife. Until I slapped my Turbo Cool in it and did the same thing. I know that sucker is perfect. Many zip ties gave their life for this info. :(

Psu checks out fine. So now I know I have other issues.
Once again thanks for the help.
