I can't access only 1 site from my computer. Why?

There's a forum I frequent very often which consists of me and quite a few friends. I'm having issues only connecting to that site using IE7 and the portable version of Firefox. I texted a friend, and he isn't having any issues. I remote desktop'd into my PC at work, and I was able to get to the site fine. Why can't I from my desktop? Vista Ultimate 32.

It just hangs there and doesn't load anything, other than the site name in the title bar.

Have you tried using different DNS servers? There might be a problem with your home ISP's DNS server or something. I know I used to have issues when I used MediaCom's DNS at home.

Try using 4.2.2.2 and 4.2.2.1 (root servers) and see if you still have the same problem.
 
Just tried with my laptop connected to the router wirelessly. No issues at all. It's only with this computer, and that is the only site that does it.
 
Weird. I can't even get to the site thru the IP from my laptop at school right now. Gives a siteground error...
 
1. Click the Microsoft Vista Start logo in the bottom left corner of the screen
2. Click All Programs
3. Click Accessories
4. RIGHT-click on Command Prompt
5. Select Run As Administrator
6. In the command window type the following and then hit enter: ipconfig /flushdns

if it gives a siteground error its' because there are multiple sites hosted at that IP... its normal... and you have connection...

just check to see if that page comes up on the problematic machine

and atherton213: his dns is resolving the correct IP...



it may be something in your browser cache a corrupted redirect page or something... i'd try clearing it or something (it is also weird that you say FF isn't working either)

or maybe your ISP dropped a route or something... try try again... then try using a proxy
 
It magically seems to work now tonight. I didn't even realize it was working when I came home tonight, because it is normal for it to work.

Anyway, it was weird, but thanks!
