I am looking for a new LCD for HTPC/gaming I am really dissapointed LCD TVs from newegg and dell under $600 apparently suck. So what would you guys go for? The new dell 20.1in looks nice but has some issues it sounds like. Polyview V293 2-Tone 19" sounds good too. I don't know, I am basically looking for a LCD that can handle HDTV has good performance and is under $400. Do you guys have any ideas?
Anyone know how I could run picture in picture on one of these?

I've got the Dell 2005fpw and it's just a button on the front that you push to put it in picture in picture mode. Then you select the input for the picture. It has other options to set the size of the PIP (small/med/large) and to position it in one of the corners. It also has picture by picture. If you do order one then I'd plan for the possibility of having to do some exchanges as they can be prone to backlight leakage. My first one sucked but I'm now happy with my second one. That's really the only issue I've heard on these monitors. The backlighting. My new one is great though. Dell overnighted me a replacement and paid to ship my old one back.
 
you told them the backlighting was shot and they shipped you out a new one and that was it?
 
In situations like that they usually take your credit card info, and if you dont send back the defective piece then they charge your card the full price, so it wouldn't be uncommon to be sent the replacement first.

All through email. I was going to call as a last resort if I got the run-around. I didn't. Now the old one goes back at their expense.
