Yep, as the title says, I am looking for extreme hardware .....a printer for $30-50 with black ink cartridges that can be refilled.

I'm pretty sure most of the 30-50 inkjets have 'compatible' cartridges that you can refill. I'd avoid those cheap printers like the plague though...
