My Double Sight Ds-265W went out. It started flicking then lost signal now nothing. It lasted about 5 months. Its still under warranty and I've already contacted them and got an RMA number and a place to send it back too. In the mean time I picked up the Hyundai 242D from Frys for $240. Its a 24 inch 1920x1200 and yes its a TN panel. I'm surprised how good it looks. The colors and text are very good. No dead or stuck pixels and very minimal back light bleed just a hair on the bottom. What surprises me is the text and icons are much clearer on this then my friends 2209WA. This has no grainy look to it, its perfectly clear unlike the 2209WA. Really amazed at this monitor for $240 I wasn't expecting much but its passed my expectations and anyone looking for a budget 24 inch monitor this is one to look at.

Yes you could, but that's 1920x1080 not 1920x1200. Frys had the Viewsonic 1920x1080 for $189 but I don't want that resolution. Show me another 1920x1200 under $240 :)

$240 really isn't a great price for a 24" TN at this point. You could do better.

Thats assuming all TNs are the same...which they are not. A lot of the cheap ones look like stereotypical shitty TN monitors while others are better for more money.

If it is truly good like the OP said, it might be worth the few extra dollars.

Exactly. I looked at a few monitors while I was at Frys. They are all TN's I'm sure. But the Hyundai looked much better then the rest. The view angles were better, not anything like an IPS but better than the other Tn's their. Like you said, their are good TN's and bad TN's. I think this Hyundai is a better one. And For $240 compared to say $600 for the Dell U2410 I don't mind saving $400 and getting a decent Tn. This monitor is for surfing the web and gaming that's it...
