Will having HT enabled hinder an overclock? If so by how much? Parts are in now and assembly begins tommorrow.
Asus P4C800E-DLX / 2.8C / 2x256 Corsair XMS PC3700 / 2 WD Raptors / Radeon 9700Pro.

I haven't notice any hinderance with my overclock with hyperthreading on.

I totally agree...I am at 292fsb and I turned HT off and I can't do any better at same vcore then now....If heat is an issue then yes it could cause in general it adds about 2-3c for me under load....

Also with HT off in TMPGenc I lose up to 22% in performance...meanning a 3.5ghz northwood with HT off likely would get beat by my cpu if I downclocked it to 3.0ghz....I get 18-22% in rendering in AutoCadd...I get 33-40% more done in FH and SETI by running 2 instances....I get 8-14% in dvdshrink....Tons of programs give me 10+% in performance gains with HT so basically it is like losing 300mhz......

CLEARLY NOT WORTH IT!!!!
