Hyperthreading on or off for games??

I think I remember back in the P4 days that hyperthreading took a toll on gaming,is it stii true today?
For my i7 860 should it be turned off for gaming?

on my i7 920 at 4.2 Ghz, it is ON. I see no issues or speed drops.

With multi cores all with HT, I say leave it on, but I'm no gamer.

yup, games cant even max the 4 cores so i doubt it.

The only application where HT makes a difference for me is Folding@Home or video encoding.

There's so much power in an i7 that you shouldn't see much change on or off.

NO difference realtime. If you want higher overclocks turn if OFF. If you want more processing cores (virtual) then turn it ON. Games OFF theoretically would be better but in reality there is virtually no difference.
