Hyperthreading not working with new 3.0c......

Mobo: Soyo Dragon 2 i865pe V 1.0 (the free one after rebate)
CPU: P4 3.0c
OS: Win Xp Pro Sp2

I have enabled HT in the bios and have Win XP Pro SP2 installed and hyperthreading doesnt work. Is there a setting within windows to enable HT because it has always just worked in the past for other systems. Any ideas??
 
Ive heard rumors that if HT is disabled prior to installing XP, then XP will not install the drivers for it. Once again these are rumors and i cant verify them.

aside from that use CPU-z and see if it detects 2 processors
 
HT was enabled prior to xp installation and I already used cpuz and it only detected one.
