Hyper 212 Help

I bought a cooler master hyper 212 and have never tried a 3rd party aftermarket before. I know this one pwns so to speak but where can i get very *specific* details on the full install and step by step to doing it? Ive build pc'sbefore but always used stock HSF. Tankies in advanced

Yeah I just installed this. I found the install manual pretty shitty myself. There's also this for reference: http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/258023-29-installing-cooler-master-hyper Just skip the part of where he removes the old heatsink and fan.

But notice that he's installing it with it touching the metal on the metal backplate with the 3 inner screws. Should you do lga 1155 then you want to flip it over and have the black insulation touching the back of the mother board on the outter 4 corner points of the metal bracket.

Its not that hard ones you once you get that figured out. The manual made it seem that way was the wrong way and confused me, but it was instead correct. The big screw hole things go on the top part of the motherboard through the back only one way (have a flat side to them, match with the 4 corner points flat area) which keeps them from turning as you tighten them down on the back side of the motherboard via the bolt and bolt cover piece. You then turn with a screw driver on each bolt using that bolt cover piece with the screwdriver imprint.

The other thing to consider is how the bracket on top attaches and make sure you adjust for how you're looking at the pictures in the manual and the guide. Just match up how the brackets arms are. Check and then double check on that one, it can be confusing.
