Hydor L30 Pump?

I was looking at the Eheim 1250 pump, but it is somewhat large in size. Then I saw the Jydor L30 pump which is smaller in size, has the same GPH rate, and is $20 cheaper. Is this a quiet and reliable pump? I plan on having a Danger Den RBX, Maze 4 GPU block, and maybe a chipset block.

I can get a black ice extreme with 2 sanyo denki 120mm fans for $45, or 2Fresh's rad for 54. Which would be better?
 
2Fresh's rad would probably slightly outperform the BIX w/ lower speed (read quiet) fans since IMO the heatercore will be less restrictive (less air pressure req to move the same amt of air through it) to the air.

The Hydor is a decent pump, powerful for it's size, but the 1250 will be better shielded for EMI (i had some weirdness when i was really close to my CRTs w/ the hydor) and it will be slightly louder than the 1250. The hydor gives a little bit of vibration/rattle, but i think is a little better equipped to run a more restrictive loop (IIRC, it has a slightly higher head rating).

I personally would go for the 1250 if i had to choose again, but the Hydor is a very nice pump.
 
i vouch for the hydor, it really gives me some of that much needed extra space, i have a lian li PC6X series case, that spare inch or two really adds up when thinking of where to mount that pump. I've never ran into a problem of it being noisy and whatnot either albeit the regular small vibrations (just put something soft under it like you would with all pumps). Damn good pump :).

i would go for the hydor too. After going through alot of tubing (5+ feet testing) and a heatercore, when the 1/2" barbs were reduced to 3/8" barbs, there was alot of watercomming out at a really high pressure
 
accually, they eheim and L30 are same in size, only off by a an inch or so, this is why i decided not to go with L30s and look for a smaller pump because I will be running two.
 
My L30 turned noisy, had to superglue the impeller to the shaft now its working fine...
 
my hydor is silent, although something has gone screwy with it, air is getting into my line now...although i have abused the poor thing.
 
I have a question...do most you Hydor users turn your pump on and off with you system or do you run constantly...my first pump lasted about 2 months(came on when system started) and the replacement lasted a year before the noise from the impellar drove me to replace the impellar($23)..I like this pump but be aware on/off cycling killed mine earlier in my water cooling adventures :)
 
I'm the on and off type, have had minor minor problems with the pump, all fixable. I haven't glued the impeller to the shaft yet, i've just recently upgraded pumps, and might migrate this one down to another machine...
