Hybrid Crossfire confused???

Do I plug the dvi connection into the PCI card or the IGP? I have a asus M3a78-EM paired with the 3450 card. I run GPU-Z and it registers the two cards as being crossfire enabled, but whenever I run 3dmark06 it gives me scores like it is only utilizing the 3450 and doesn't register crossfire??? I can get the crossfire option with either IGP connected to the monitor or PCI 3450 connected in CCC. The reason I have it connected to the graphics card directly now is because the other way around I could not see the post screen/bios when I restarted my system and the monitor would only kick on when it got to the XP login screen.
 
from what i have searched online is you have to connect the video to your mainboard, and enable your onboard gpu and also enable surround view. i was thinking of going back all amd, but still likeing intel.
