Normally I would get the TX650 due to pricing, but until 9/5 the HX620 is only $10 more than the TX650 at newegg. I've read the reviews from JohhnyGURU, Hardware Secrets, HardForum, as well as others. I've also perused various forums so I know both are manufactured by Seasonic and both are single rail.
What I want to know is the HX620 the better PSU, even if by a slim margin. Or does it really come down to modular vs non-modular? Many people have stated that the HX series is geared more toward the enthusiast than the TX series. Does the fact that the HX620 is several years older than the TX650 mean anything?
Here's a quote from Redbeard someone put up on the XtremeSystems Forums:
one advantage of tx 650 over 620 hx is the quality of the cabling - even tho' non-modular and tbh the unused cables can be tucked away usually.
What is the difference in the cabling?
