I've been a long time customer of Corsair products from Corsair dominator rams to tx psus and hx psus.

Now.. I recently purchased a hx1050 80plus gold rating
It will be running

xfx r9 270x - ~180w
xfx r9 270x - ~180w
Powercolor 7850 - ~130w

I want to get another xfx r9 270- ~ 150w

will my hx1050 be able to handle the load of 4x gpu running at 100% running 24/7. this machine is for mining

I'm finding that Factory OCed cards can get into the 225w range for 270x. So I'd say you have about 800w of GPU there. As long as you're not running a OCed FX 8 core, I'd say you're fine on the PSU front.

Also, efficiency doesn't work like that.

thank you i think its based on how much extra power it draws from the wall. some one gave me a tip on that on another forum.

so you think it will be ok to be pulling around 800w 24/7 on the psu? yea im running only a sempron 145 single core.

thanks just trying to figure out if its a good idea to have a psu run close to 80-90% load 24/7
