Alright, I'll just cut to the chase.

I was overclocking my system last night. I have an AMD 2600+, Retail HSF, and a Aopen AK79D-400VN motherboard. While I was setting the FSB's I noticed my Mutliplier was unlocked. So I brought it down from 12.5 to 11.0, and brought my FSB up to 205.

Once I did that, and saved BIOS my machine shut down. Oh well, no biggy. I Opened up the case. Reset CMOS, and the comp started right back up.
Well since I restarted CMOS it was registering my 2600+ as a 2000+, so I went into BIOS and reset all my configs to read a 2600+.
When I clicked F10 to save. The little "Warning DO NOT SHUT OFF POWER" thing came on, and stayed there for a LONG LONG time. I didn't have anymore patience and just rebooted. Now when I try to turn on the PC it's a black screen.

Things that I've tried:
- Reseting CMOS again.
- Pulling out the CMOS battery.
- Holding 'Insert' key while rebooting.

None of them do anything.
Any suggestions?
 
Have you tried cutting the power (unplug PS from wall and hit the clicker button on the front) to the MB when clearing the CMOS?
Same when removing the battery?

Does anything (ie:HDD, FDD, CDRom, PS fan, CPU fan) power up after trying these things? Any beep codes? Not sayin I may have an answer for ya but with this extra info someone else may click on an idea.

And yeah, EVERYTHING powers up. Fans, HDD, everything. No beeps.
 
How long did you leave the battery out for? I know that when I once had problems, I was told that I didn't leave the battery out long enough (I always tought that you pull it out and then put it back in). The capacitor keep the charge in for a while. You might want to try to using something metal like a screwdriver and make sure you touch the prong in the battery case and something metal thats close by. That may help.
 
Unplug the computer from the wall. Take out all your pci & agp cards. Remove and reseat your RAM, and then put the cards back in. Now try starting it up.
 
I forgot to mention to unplug your comp from the wall and making sure that you are properly grounded.
 
Possibly you fried your video cards, ive had times when a fried video card would cause something like that. Now as far as the lack of beeps for the POST it could have something to do with resetting of the cmos by removing the battery, etc...try another video card or if its on board throw one in for kicks.

It doesn't sound like he fried his vid card, to me. I'd say that he messed up his mobo in some way, either the BIOS or the board itself.
 
Sounds odd. I'm not sure why it would happen, but I would personally bet the BIOS is messed up somehow, sorry :(.

Know anyone who has the same board or possibly even the same brand of board? You can do a hot-swap BIOS update if ya do.

power and thats a .bin bios flash program. It sounds like your bios is hosed.

Well, thank god it's not the video card.. *woot!* The video card is twice the price as the motherboard.
Anyway I'm buying an NF-7 and a Mobile 2400+
And then I'm going to try to send my mobo to the manufacturer. When/IF they send it back I'll just make that a 2nd machine.
