HTT frequency.

Ive got an ASUS A8N SLI Deluxe board, an AMD 3800+ X2 CPU, and 2Gb of Crucial BallistiX on the way. In the BIOS under Advanced settings, I have the option to se the HTT frequency. Im planning to OC the memory and CPu. I know K8 CPU's are dependent on memory timings for OC stability in the memory controller. That said, the HTT is set to auto right now, but I have options. What would be good, and how does memory timings tie into HTT settings??? I just need to know so i dont have to start over if I screw over.
 
Alright, new question. I know that multiplier times that HTT multi number = my effective HTT (FSB). That said, do i need to keep that at stock 1000, or can it be over?? Im running an 1150 FSB at 2.3Ghz on a x5 multi.......I cant seem to get over 2.3 without freezing. 2.3 isnt totally stable
